# Post to Marketplace or Direct Hire?

There are several options when you wish to post a job on UpCounsel. The most common option is to post a job in the marketplace and receive bids from our attorneys.

The second option is to post a job in the marketplace and invite specific attorneys to submit bids (note that this does not prevent uninvited attorneys from also submitting bids).

A third option is to 'direct hire' your attorney, which bypasses the marketplace bidding process. Once you find an attorney you like on the site, hit the "Hire" button next to his name and provide the details of your legal needs.  The job request will not be visible to anyone but that attorney.
